Abstract

The article examines the event model of the project “Ambassadors of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan” in the context of the problem of designing a cultural environment for the successful socialization of teenagers in Kyrgyzstan in the intercultural space of dialogue of cultures. The rationale for the sociocultural approach in the study with the aim of enculturating adolescents into another culture is given, and a description of teaching and educational practices is provided that allow building an individual educational route. The necessity of constructing a model using event technology based on the methods of linguoculturology is substantiated. The project “Ambassadors of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan”, financed by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, was implemented from July to November 2023. As part of the project, a training program was drawn up and a teaching manual was published for student volunteers and teacher-curators from all regions of Kyrgyzstan. The project allowed the children to immerse themselves in the Russian language and culture and at the same time appreciate the advantages of their native language (Kyrgyz), which functions harmoniously with the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan.

The article examines the event model of the project Ambassadors of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan in the context of designing a cultural environment for the successful socialization of teenagers in Kyrgyzstan within the intercultural space of dialogue among cultures. The study employs a sociocultural approach to facilitate the inculturation of adolescents into another culture and provides a description of teaching and educational practices that enable the construction of individual educational pathways. The necessity of developing a model using event technology, grounded in the methods of linguoculturology and incorporating an ethnocultural component, is substantiated.

The project Ambassadors of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan, funded by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, was implemented from July to November 2023. As part of the project, educational trainings, master classes, and cultural programs were organized and conducted at the Russian Language Institute of the A.O. Orusbaev Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, named after B. N. Yeltsin, for volunteer schoolchildren and teacher-curators. The project aimed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Help volunteers deepen their knowledge of the Russian language and immerse themselves in Russian culture;

  • Develop leadership qualities among participants;

  • Equip volunteers with the skills and abilities necessary for organizational and educational work among students and their parents;

  • Conduct advanced training courses for young teachers of the Russian language, introducing them to modern educational standards in Russian language and literature, new teaching technologies (including digital tools), and original textbooks on the Russian language tailored for students in Kyrgyzstan;

  • Organize trainings on collaborative activities in teacher-volunteer pairs to promote the Russian language and culture in the regions of Kyrgyzstan, cultivate the values of the Russian world, and foster dialogue among speakers of different languages and cultures.

One of the key stages of the project was the publication of a methodological manual for student volunteers and teacher-supervisors from all regions of Kyrgyzstan. The project enabled participants to immerse themselves in the Russian language and culture while also appreciating the value of their native language (Kyrgyz), which functions harmoniously alongside Russian in Kyrgyzstan.
