Abstract

The article discusses types of simple sentences on the modality and communicative aim in Tajik and Russian languages. Materials are based on simple sentences from "Kalila wa Dimna"- one of the best literary works of Tajik-Persian literature, the study gives an idea of lingual culture and language features of the VI century of the Muslim era. Analysis of Tajik and Russian proposals revealed a varied design of simple sentences (declarative, interrogative and imperative sentences). In Russian and Tajik languages, intonation and the modality of the messages, play significant role in construction of declarative, interrogative and imperative sentences. System words expressing modality and intonation messages in these languages ​​may be different. The means of expression of negativity in these languages ​​have their differences. In Russian language in contrast to Tajik language, there are more varies opportunities to express motivation.
